Cape Chamber Members Offered 10% Discount for Second Annual Cape Town Manufacturing Summit
Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry members are being offered an exclusive 10% discount to attend the second edition of the Cape Town Manufacturing Summit, hosted by the City of Cape Town.
Scheduled for 11 November 2026 at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC), the summit will convene manufacturers, investors, policymakers, and industry leaders under the theme “Manufacturing the Cape. Connecting Africa. Competing Globally.”
The event is designed to help local enterprises navigate evolving industrial trends, secure strategic partnerships, and explore export avenues across the continent. Spanning key regional sectors—including advanced manufacturing, agro-processing, green technologies, and renewable-energy components—the summit provides a platform for businesses to connect with new customers, suppliers, and investors. Chamber members can access registration details and claim their 10% attendance discount through the official Manufacturing Indaba portal.
This focus on industrial expansion comes as the sector plays a critical role in the regional economy, currently accounting for approximately 15% of the Western Cape economy as its third-largest economic sector. The provincial government has set an ambitious target of building a R1 trillion inclusive provincial economy by 2035, supported by the Western Cape Export Strategy 2035, which aims to scale goods exports from R136 billion to R408 billion and support more than 263,000 jobs.
Furthermore, manufacturing serves as a vital engine for employment, with Premier Alan Winde reporting that the province added 13,000 manufacturing jobs over the preceding year. Backed by a regional economic growth rate of 1.4% in 2025—double the national rate—and an unemployment rate dropping to 18.1%, the upcoming summit provides a timely platform to address industrial competitiveness, infrastructure logistics, and export-led growth.
